Buildings here must sit at least 15 feet back from the street (the front yard). Two exceptions: lots fronting the Whitestone Expressway need 20 feet, and corner lots — which have two street frontages — can keep one front yard as shallow as 10 feet.

Section 126-231 - Minimum required front yards

Front yards shall be provided with a depth of 15 feet, except for:

(a) zoning lots with frontage along the Whitestone Expressway, where front yards shall be provided with a depth of 20 feet; and

(b) corner lots , where one front yard may have a depth of 10 feet.
