Preparatory Academy for Writers: A College Board School

Preparatory Academy for Writers: A College Board School is a 6th through 12th grade school committed to providing our students with a challenging curriculum with a focus on writing and publishing as well as a strong community of students and adults who support each other academically, socially and emotionally. Through our school's unique instructional model focused on reading, writing and discussing, students learn to think critically, communicate effectively, and be open to a wide range of ideas and experiences. With middle school students taking high school courses and high school students taking college courses, the Preparatory Academy for Writers supports our students in writing successful futures.

Students receive weekly college and career planning in partnership with the College Board, CFES, and the Child Center of New York.

Our school uses a non-traditional schedule in order to allow most students to meet all high school graduation requirements after three years.
