The School Construction Authority came to the Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings and Dispositions to lock in a Queens site for a new 547-to-754-seat pre-K through grade school near the East River , a pay parking lot, walkways, and playground that had been contemplated all the way back in the 2013 Hallets Point rezoning. The Astoria/Storia Houses tenant association raised concerns about the larger redevelopment's infrastructure, and SCA conceded it was never a party to that 2013 ULURP.
