The Landmarks subcommittee took up the Brownsville NCP , three new buildings, roughly 74 affordable apartments on city-owned land across Sandy Nurse's and Darlene Mealy's districts. Nurse gushed support, thanking the team for 'over-communication' and 'bringing the rent down.' Mealy did the opposite: she called 70-80% AMI 'not affordable,' said the land is city-owned and could go deeper, and ripped HPD for marking the affordability 'subject to change' , fearing it climbs to 80 or 90% AMI.
