Bundled into the day's omnibus vote with five other LPC designations and the Livonia 4 item, the Fire Alarm Telegraph Bureau Bronx Central Office advanced as a landmark designation under LU 267 in the Bronx.
The Bronx Opera House moved forward as an LPC landmark designation under LU 268, carried with the day's slate of Bronx and Manhattan designations.
The Firehouse for Engine Company 88 and Ladder Company 38 advanced as an LPC landmark designation under LU 269 in the Bronx.
935 St. Nicholas Avenue went forward as a Manhattan LPC landmark designation under LU 270, part of the grouped designation vote.
The Hotel Cecil and Minton's Playhouse Building advanced as a Manhattan LPC landmark designation under LU 271, included in the same combined designation vote.
HPD, represented by Rosa Kelly, sought a technical correction to the Council's December 7, 2022 Resolution 433, which had approved the UDAAP designation and disposition for the Livonia 4 project in Council Member Barron's district. The original resolution inadvertently failed to distinguish the publicly owned lots from the one privately owned lot (Block 3811, Lot 25), and this fix makes that distinction.
Took up HPD's pre-considered application for the 506 West 135th Street ANCP project in Council Member Abreu's Manhattan district. Under the plan, each property would be conveyed to a newly formed HDFC Co-op upon construction and cooperative conversion, creating new homeownership for low- and moderate-income residents.
HPD's Linden Gardens proposal came forward as two paired applications, G230037 NUK and G230038 XAK, spanning the Brooklyn districts of Council Members Nurse and Barron.
