Casa de la Fe's congregation in Soundview is being rebuilt into a new eight-story mixed-use building that the church, developer, and community shaped together , 100% affordable senior housing on top of a new house of worship, plus a community center and garden. Local member Amanda Farías, born and raised in Soundview, had pushed the 1810 Randall Avenue rezoning since fall 2021 (before she was even on the Council) and put $1.5M of FY23 capital behind it. The Land Use Committee, chaired by Rafael Salamanca, advanced it 7-0 with no opposition heard.
